Presumed Nefarious FC Jerseys

The Jersey Number

Specifically was chosen to illustrate the number of times a police office shot the unarmed player on the jersey.

Stylistically was chosen to signify jailbars, and or barcodes, to illuminate black people being systematically born into a prison pipeline.

The Fly Debonair

Specifically was chosen because Debonair originates from the French “of good air”, making the literal translation a wish for any player on a jersey to fly on good air.

Stylistically replicates the font and slogan of contemporary soccer jerseys with an airline company sponsor on its front, like Debon Airlines.

The Logo

Specifically was chosen to convey how any player on a jersey was presumed nefarious, like a bandit or outlaw in a hat and mask.

Stylistically depicts a foregone image of a hired gun or mercenary in allusion to police departments deriving from slave patrols.

The Font on Back

Specifically was chosen so any readers comprehensively see and say any player on a jersey’s full name.

Stylistically is arduous to read so the jerseys do not exploit, commodify or sensationalize the player’s murder, but instead represent a complete product that honors their life.
